  • Fora is a modern travel agency that gives me the booking tools, training, partner network and advisor community to support my clients. The role has evolved: you can still research and stay involved, while I provide recommendations, handle bookings and logistics, and may be able to access added benefits. You get a real person helping before, during and after the booking.

  • I”ve been the unofficial travel agent for friends and family for [length of time] and I’ve been advising professionally for [length of time], and I’m supported by Fora’s training, booking tools, partner network and advisor community. If I don’t know something firsthand, I can draw on people with relevant experience rather than guessing. I’ll always be honest about what I know and what I need to confirm.

  • If you have: Yes! I was there [when or in what context], and I’d be happy to share what I learned. Tell me a little about the trip you have in mind, because the right recommendation depends on your priorities, not just where I would personally stay.

    If you have not: I haven’t been there personally, but I don’t need to pretend I have. I can draw on Fora’s advisor community, partner network and current traveler feedback to help narrow the options. Tell me what matters most for this trip, and I’ll start there.

Why use an advisor at all?

  • You can. Booking through me may allow me to request VIP recognition and access available perks, such as room upgrades, hotel credits or complimentary breakfast, often at the same rate you would find by booking directly. If you send me what you are considering, I can tell you what I may be able to add.

  • Great, keep doing it! You do not have to give up the parts you enjoy. Bring me what you find, and I can help compare the options, manage the moving pieces, and take care of the actual bookings so I can add any available perks. You keep the fun parts and stay in control; I help make the trip easier to execute.

Price and value

  • In most cases, booking through me costs the same as booking on your own. I’m compensated by the hotels and travel partners I work with, not by you, and your hotel room will usually cost the same as it does on the hotel website. Send me what you found and I can compare the options with you.

  • Usually, the rate matches booking direct, and I’m not in the discount business. The value I may be able to add sits on top of the rate: available upgrades, breakfast, credits and VIP recognition. Send me what you found, and I’ll tell you honestly how the rate and benefits compare.

  • A credit card portal can be useful, especially when you want to use points or a card-specific benefit. Working with me gives you a person who can help compare the full picture: the rate, available benefits, flexibility, loyalty eligibility and the support you may need if plans change. Send me the option you found and I can help you compare before you book.

  • You can usually keep your status and continue earning hotel loyalty points on eligible rates booked through me. You are not necessarily trading one for the other, and I can confirm the details for your specific booking before we move forward.

What you can help with

  • Hotels, cruises, tours, transfers and the pieces in between. I can also be your sounding board for where to go, where to stay, what is worth the money and what to skip. Tell me what you are planning and which parts you would like off your plate.

  • You can contact me, and I’ll help you understand the options and work with the travel partner when support is needed. I cannot control every policy or outcome, but you will have a real person who knows the booking and can help you navigate the next step.

  • Sometimes I'm able to add my perks and VIP status to existing client bookings––it all depends on the hotel's or cruise line's policies. If you send me your booking confirmation, I'm happy to check!

  • No. One hotel night counts, and so does a weekend close to home. Big trips are wonderful, but plenty of my work is a single well-chosen hotel or a simple work trip. There is no minimum, and I would rather you ask than assume.

  • That is a great time to talk to me. A big part of what I do is help narrow the options before you fall down a research hole. Tell me roughly when you want to go, who is traveling, and what kind of trip you are in the mood for, and we can start there.
